That's what I saw as the wind blew the sail around in my direction as I was helping maneuver the boat in the desired position on the shoreline. I turned around to walk back up on the beach right before it made contact with me. The blow knocked me down in the above-knee-length water. I stumbled toward the shore as family helped me out of the water and assessed the damage. It's nice having an ER nurse as a sister. My nose may have cushioned the impact on my lips, which cushioned the impact on my teeth. My nose is okay, just a little sore. I didn't loose any teeth. The impact just slightly loosened some and chipped one of the top middle ones. It felt like my face was crushed and I would be spitting out bloody teeth. Thankfully that was not the case. Thankfully it happened on the last day and we were packed up ready to make the drive home. I hung out on the beach just like I wanted, only with an icy soda gently pressed up against my lips.
a few hours after impact and constant icing
P.S. - Family, will you please e-mail me some pictures of the week? I need some other memories than this.
